I think it’s finally safe to say that summer is here in Seattle! We lucked out with the most beautiful and sunny weather for Taylor’s senior portrait session. Featured here is our “Ultimate” session experience, complete with a professional hair & makeup artist, complimentary wardrobe styling, and a beautiful and unique day-trip worthy destination!

Senior Portrait wardrobe styling tips

For Taylor’s first outfit we paired a classic white tee and vintage denim Wrangler’s. Taylor’s white vans complete the look for a classic outfit that will never go out of style. We love white tops – as they always make for a flattering portrait, and translate well to B&W.

For Taylor’s next outfit, we paired a beautiful yellow vintage top with Taylor’s white jeans. I always love choosing outfits that have a cohesive color theme throughout, so when creating photo books, or hanging prints together – the outfits will all tell a story. I picked yellow, white and blue to play off of Taylor’s brunette hair and dark tan.

Since Taylor has such beautiful long hair, we loved the ability to create additional looks by throwing it up in a pony, and adding a vintage silk scarf. How darling does she look?!

For Taylor’s third and final outfit, we picked out the classic LWD – aka the “Little White Dress”. We recommend every senior pick out their favorite white dress – as it’s always a classic, and so beautiful on everyone.

We also made one more change to Taylor’s hair, and added a second vintage scarf, this time as a long braid. It looks so cute and adds a feminine touch to the entire look – since we paired it with white platform Dr Martens!

I am always a huge fan of pairing a little bit of feminine with a bit of tomboy – it adds a nice balance to your outfit. Casual shoes with dresses (such as boots of sneakers) always help play down the look, so it makes more sense in nature/outdoor locations. We are always thinking about your entire outfit from head-to-toe!

At the very end, we let Taylor’s hair back down to capture her natural beauty in some headshots – and let her frolic around the park to capture some candid images of her beautiful smile!
